I am a Clinical Psychologist who specializes in working with children and families. A Clinical Psychologist has a comprehensive, doctoral training in mental health issues, using a variety of models and techniques for the assessment and treatment of a wide range of psychological problems. I have specialized in child psychology both during my clinical training and in my subsequent work at Great Ormond Street Hospital and within community mental health services (see 'About Dr Newsom-Davis').

Parenting Consultations and Behavioural Management Advice for:
- Sleep problems
- Feeding issues
- Oppositional and non-compliant behaviour
- Sibling rivalry
- Parenting conflict
- Over-activity (with or without a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD)
- School difficulties
Children's Emotional and Psychological Difficulties:
- Anxiety
- Phobias
- OCD
- Social difficulties
Psychometric Assessments:
- Standardised assessments of intellectual ability (IQ), educational attainment (reading, spelling numeracy), and other cognitive functions that may affect learning (e.g. memory, attention)
- General development (for the under-5's)
- Social communication and autistic spectrum disorders
